This was some of the feedback from one of our newly trained People Puzzle instructors. They were excited not only to understand why they have issues with people and what to do to resolve those issues, but also to be able to teach those skills to others.

I attended a Sharpening Your People Skills event in Botswana years ago. It made such an impact on me, and it has long been my intention to be trained as a People Puzzle Instructor – so here I finally am! The skills I have learnt enable me to serve others better, because when I understand others, I can adjust myself to them. I don’t need to change the other person to minimise conflict – I just need to apply what I learnt in this training so that I can better respond to others. I love that you can attend this one-day training and have great takeaway, apply-them-immediately skills! I am definitely going to teach this back home in Botswana, even in corporate environments, as this is what is needed for team building.

It was valuable to learn about myself and understand my own personal style – and when I engage with someone, I can also identify their style. Knowing this helps me relate to others more effectively. I am empowered not just to react. I am now able to adapt my response according to my understanding of the other person. I loved that I had this immediate new skill after the training. This has really helped me not to take things personally. I can appreciate that the other person’s behavioural style is just different from my own and not a personal attack. It helps me to have the perspective of “I am not the problem here”, it’s just a different behavioural style. This has been so useful in reframing things when engaging with others.
