Walk Thru the Bible recently partnered with Mahon Evangelica Church in Kwa Thema on the East Rand to run a holiday club for 120 children from the local community. Of note, was that only 14 of the 120 children were from the church!
The programme included both otLIVE and various fun activities, and provided a safe space for the children to meet with Jesus.
We pray that many of these children came to understand not just the big picture of the Bible, but also their place in that story – as they encountered God and His saving love.
This event also gave youth from the church an opportunity to serve their community, while adults from the church provided security, refreshments and encouragement to both the children and young people.
This event was a great example and reminder that God is at work through His local church. We praise Him for transforming lives, strengthening His people, and using the church to share His love with the community.
Enjoy these glimpses of the children’s energy and enthusiasm…
