“We miss so much when we don’t understand ourselves and other people”
These are the words of Reverend Peter Simwanza, when asked why he teaches Walk Thru the Bible’s Solving the People Puzzle Live Event.
He continues:
“You know, most of us don’t know who we are. We don’t know our own strengths and weaknesses. We miss out on so much when we don’t understand ourselves and other people. These things are not known. Solving the People Puzzle can really help with this. I really like the section on developing versatility and adapting to others.
People issues are everywhere – in business, managing and employing people, but also in the church and in families. There is such a need for this. Once you have this training, you can look back and see why you struggled. You also realise not everybody is like me, but I can accept others.”
As summed up by two recent Solving the People Puzzle participants:
“I have learned to be more gracious with others … and
“The more I understand myself, the more I see the need to appreciate and accept others, and adjust to our differences.”

Solving the People Puzzle is based on the DISC behavioural indicator. Participants will learn how to improve relationships – and gain a new perspective on how to maximise strengths and motivate and encourage others based on their unique personalities.
Attendees at the latest Solving the People Puzzle event in Maseru included accountants, administrators, business owners, healthcare workers and those in full-time ministry. The feedback from the training was conclusive about its value at an organisational level and for personal growth …
I have discovered that there is much to work on regarding myself, and room for improvement in how I accommodate others’ character and behaviour. I trust God even for the things I do not yet see.
I see now why people have misunderstood me at times and even felt like my enemies. But Solving the People Puzzle has given me the tools to work on myself, to be more versatile and also able to accommodate others better.
I have discovered that all people are different and that these differences are God-ordained, so that we will complement each other. So I have learnt how to relate to people who are different to me.
I have learnt to adapt to accommodate others who are different in character. I have to appreciate other people’s strengths, and I can improve in my areas of weakness.
I have identified my strengths and weaknesses. I have also learned to trust God more in my weaknesses and to be willing to adapt to other behavioural styles in order to build healthy relationships.
I will be able to understand others and myself – to better navigate relationships and effectively communicate as we work together and resolve conflict.
This will help me be more tolerant of others and more self-assured in my own strengths.
