| Million Leaders Mandate Associate Trainers in Zambia |

14 key people, leaders from various national ministries and key Certified Trainers from Million Leaders Mandate Volume One, were trained as Associate Trainers during a Square One event held in Lusaka on 17 and 18 April. The delegates included the National Directors and National Trainers for ministries like Campus Crusade for Christ and Child Evangelism Fellowship, among others.
It was a strategic time together and deeply encouraging for the southern African office to see the calibre of leaders who will take the Today Matters notebook throughout Zambia and possibly beyond their borders too.
Since the Square One event in April, the Associate Trainers have met twice to plan how they can move forward as a team, not merely as individual Associate Trainers. These Associate Trainers unders the African proverb: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." This is indicative of how EQUIP fleshes out relationships; through partnerships and process.
By the time of their first planning meeting, 2 weeks after
the Square One event, a number of the Associate Trainers had already starting
teaching Today Matters.
Brother Weston Mwaba has this to say: "I used to do a lot of marriage counseling, with different people. But at home, I was missing it as a leader. My children lost confidence in me because I spent most of the time doing church activities. But, after the Million Leaders Mandate training, I slowly started changing into a better husband and father. Now when I tell my children I’ll be home e.g. 14:00, they take my word for it. Before they would say ‘are you sure daddy?’ They thought church was about committees that keep you away from your family. What I noticed then was that they started resenting church. When we went go to church they would start asking ‘what time are we going home?’ Now the story has changed because of the training."
