| How a Bible study group became better together |

"The Protem Bible Study Group of Bredasdorp recently participated in a component of the 40 Days of Community Campaign. This Campaign can be facilitated in any church or group. They gave the following feedback: "Our group of 15 just completed our study of the fascinating and inspiring TOGETHER WE ARE BETTER. The desire was expressed to extend our appreciation and gratitude and to share some of our observations, experiences and decisions in view of the invitation contained in SHARE TOGETHER. 2. Session 6
First and foremost thanks to our Lord for his presence during every session. Without His guidance our efforts would have been fruitless if not futile. It was indeed a wonderful experience throughout and we are most grateful for the opportunity. We became appreciably aware that wherever we are, whatever we do, whatever we say and whatever we see, happens in His presence and we are never alone.
God is LOVE. We were created out of love. This WILL certainly cause us to be aware of others in need. in achievement, in enjoyment in pleasure and deal His love to them. The more one gives the more one receives
There are so many things one takes for granted in our daily lives that one forgets that it all comes from God's heart because of his love for us - His love being the reason He created us. He gives and we are only too willing to just receive. The book made us alive to the realisation to live the love that He gives us and to care about, to share with, to participate with and to give it to others. John 3:16 has again come to life for us in that He has given His all and we must give it to others. Our spontaneity, not only amongst ourselves but also toward others, have developed and we became enthusiastic and excited to develop further by increasingly and forever living a life that will spread His love wherever we go.
The daily meditation pieces were wonderfully helpful to prepare us for the group session every week and became a guide to walk daily with expectation that it could be shared and guide us to spread God's love..
As a group we have undertaken a number of projects e.g. to assist needy children in providing basic refreshments during their gatherings, to entertain and provide a meal for inmates and staff of a Home for the Elderly and shall continue to get involved with such and other projects in our congregation as the Lord will, no doubt, guide us to undertake."
