We praise God for the impact He has already allowed in so many southern African
young people's lives. In 2007 [2005 to 2007 cumulative totals in brackets] the
Silver Ring Thing South Africa team presented
an astounding 104 [294] shows, with 39,292 [151,277] young people attending.
30,029 [100,376] pledged abstinence, 14,092 [32,790] recommitted their lives to
Christ and 10,410 [16,286] trusted Christ as their Saviour for the first time.
A BIG thank you goes to all the team members, show champions and donors which
have made this impact possible over the years – you have indeed left a legacy!

Silver Ring Thing exists to motivate, educate, support and transform
generations of young people to embrace a lifestyle of Christ-centered sexual
abstinence until marriage. In short, to create a culture shift in Southern Africa where abstinence becomes the norm again
rather than the exception.
Due to funding challenges at the end of 2007 Silver Ring Thing South Africa has of necessity had to adjust the strategy and
format. The live show has been re-designed and a small fee is now payable for
the presentation of the show at schools, churches and other youth gatherings.
Furthermore, the Silver Ring Thing live show component is now being facilitated
in South Africa
by the Youth Corporation on behalf of Walk Thru the Bible.
The Youth Corporation are about strategic projects, events and national
networking for maximum Kingdom impact. In addition to the Silver Ring Thing
live shows, they also facilitate the popular Sitkamer Lof
events and assist in the High Impact Youth ministry

As we go forward we are trusting in the Lord's direction and provision in how
the Silver Ring Thing can most effectively serve the church on the
sub-continent.
