What happens if God doesn't answer our deepest prayers?

At times, this question is daunting enough to keep us from approaching either God or prayer. It can definitely stand in the way of deepening our faith and trust in God.

In this National Day of Prayer outreach event, CCN tackles the tough question: When God Doesn't Answer Your Prayer.

If answered prayer suggests a God who is listening, what does unanswered prayer suggest? Is it possible to find God in those times when we can see no answer to our prayers?

Jerry Sittser, a man who understands the agony of unanswered prayer, will be joined by Lee Strobel and Mark Mittelberg to share offer some insight to these questions.

In one horrific car crash, Jerry Sittser lost his daughter, his wife, and his mother. He and his three older children survived.

“Why doesn't God answer our prayers? This question has puzzled me for a long time, but never more so then when I really needed an answer to prayer and didn't receive it,” Dr. Sittser says. “That disappointment sent me on a long, arduous, and creative journey.”

Encourage your congregation to invite their friends and neighbors to come hear this very personal and transforming message, as together we learn what to do When God Doesn't Answer Your Prayer.

Jerry, Lee, and Mark will look at how:
·    Praying in response to our pain is right and appropriate
·    Understanding unanswered prayer can be helpful to us
·    Going deeper in prayer can lead to genuine renewal and growth
·    Setting a new course can transform the way we pray

We all suffer. We all hope. We all long for God's guidance and intervention.
We all need to know how to respond When God Doesn't Answer Your Prayer.
