| High Impact Network Gauteng Consultation: 10 May 2008 |
|
The
excitement for the next High Impact Network Gauteng Consultation is building. The
venue has been finalised, the times are set and plans are being rolled
out.
The program will start at 9am with a plenary session, followed by
various break-away training events. The break-away sessions and the training
ends at 1pm. And here's the good news… NO REGISTRATION NEEDED! This event is
only open to High Impact Network member churches though. Bring your church
leadership with you! Just a note… no lunch will be served.
The consultation time is 9am to 1pm and various resources will be on sale. The topics for the training event are:
1. Growing a High Impact Youth (10 May 2008). The principle of Expectation - you will see that you are the key to growing your youth ministry, and that there is an attitude and worldview of expectation that must be taught by you and caught by your ministry for it to grow. The confirmed speaker is Alex Harris, who is the youngest person to climb Mount Everest. This training is geared towards children, youth and young adult leaders.
2. Learn how to brainstorm a strategy for reaching out to your community (10 May 2008). The Law of Focus, from the How to Grow a High Impact Church course, states that growing churches recognise that an outward focus on compassion and evangelism is essential to fulfilling Christ's command. TEAM training is a method which will help you and your church leadership team to build a strategy for each area of your church ministries. You will determine where you are, dream about the future, design a strategy and deliver an action plan.
3. How to identify the needs in your community (10 May 2008). This breakout session, hosted by turn the tide 4 children, will introduce you to important principles for working with communities to meet significant needs. Your church will be equipped with a user-friendly tool that you can take back to your community to help identify needs and potential solutions with key role players.
4. How to preach for lifechange (10 May 2008). Preaching makes or breaks a church. Learn how to preach so that your people are motivated to DO something and remember it as well! What do you need to collect and research? How do you get to an application so that your people walk out the door and know exactly what God expects them to do? Attend the Preaching for Lifechange session and learn how to C.R.A.F.T. your messages. This seminar, facilitated by a local facilitator and presented by Rick Warren on DVD, aims to help you, the pastor, move beyond good communicating to changing lives.
