THE HIGH IMPACT NETWORK ACTIVITY

High Impact Network – operated in Gauteng only

Services - JETHRO

During January 2008 the High Impact Network team worked on getting the systems in place for one of the High Impact Network services called JETHRO. The JETHRO Ministry is all about assisting pastors with personal and confidential issues. These issues include the following, for example:

Growth: Financial advice, conflict resolution, dealing with opposition;
My local church: Administration, management, transitioning; and
Personal Issues: Family, sin, marriage.

Why the name JETHRO?

Also called Jether and Reuel, a prince and priest of Midian who gave Moses a home after his flight from Egypt, and afterwards became his father-in-law (Ex. 3: 1; Ex. 4: 18; Ex. 18: 1-12). It was from Jethro that Moses received the Melchizedek Priesthood (D&C 84: 6-7). He also gave Moses some practical advice about administrative delegation of responsibility (Ex. 18: 13-27). JETHRO unknowingly (or possibly knowingly) played an important part in preparing Moses for his Exodus mission. Moses had been born and raised in Egypt. The hardships of living in the Sinai wilderness would have been unknown to him while growing up in the home of the Pharoah's daughter. (Exodus 2:10 ) Reference: http://www.keyway.ca/htm2002/jethro.htm
